PACTRIMS was established in 2007 to provide neurologists and other healthcare professionals, as well as scientists interested in the field of MS, with a regional network for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experience.

With a history of more than 3,000 years, Beijing has been an integral part of China's history. There is scarcely a major building that doesn't have at least some national historical significance. Being the capital of China for about 850 years, it is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, offering China's most wonderful array of attractions. There are frequent sandstorms in spring, and that makes September and October, when all considered, the best time to visit Beijing.

About us

The idea of having a Asia-Pacific-centered group for MS sprung from the MS forum in Taipei in 2007.

A group of eminent neurologists decided that a regional committee would be useful to share best practices. This would be modeled after the European and American Committees on Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS, ACTRIMS).
