Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to invite you to the 13th Congress of the Pan-Asian Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (PACTRIMS) which will take place from 11 to 14 November 2020 in Singapore.
Since its inception 12 years ago, PACTRIMS is an important platform in the Asia-Pacific region that is committed to providing clinical and scientific development updates in multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica and related conditions. In a landscape of increasing diagnostic and therapeutic advancements, our patients with MS and other CNS inflammatory demyelinating diseases in Asia face evolving challenges due to diversities in culture, system regulations and accessibility. PACTRIMS 2020 strives to provide opportunities for participants representing their MS communities to exchange knowledge, acquire skills, share experiences and foster collaborations that work towards our shared vision of improving the care and lives of patients with MS and other CNS inflammatory demyelinating diseases.
To enrich your PACTRIMS experience, we are excited to introduce the inaugural ECTRIMS-PACTRIMS teaching course this year, an educational partnership forged between ECTRIMS and PACTRIMS. A line-up of specialty experts will form the faculty of this 1-day education program that covers the breadth of MS and other CNS inflammatory demyelinating diseases. This course aims to equip the next generation of healthcare providers with skills and up-to-date knowledge to enhance clinical practice in our region.
The start of 2020 has seen the worldwide outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and Singapore has responded by implementing measures to contain and mitigate the outbreak. We are honored to be able to host PACTRIMS 2020 in these challenging times, and the health and safety of our attendees is our utmost priority. On behalf of the organizing committee, we welcome you and wish you a fruitful congress in Singapore.
