President's Address
President's Address: Prof. Ho Jin Kim
Dear colleagues, friends and industry partners,
It’s a true honor—and a deeply meaningful moment—for me to serve as President of PACTRIMS. Over the past two decades, I’ve witnessed our growth from the MS Forum days in the early 2000s into the vibrant and collaborative community it is today. To now be entrusted with helping lead its next phase is both humbling and inspiring.
We’ve come a long way. Thanks to the leadership of those before me and the dedication of our members, PACTRIMS has become a strong regional hub for knowledge sharing, research, and collaboration in MS/NMOSD/MOGAD and other CNS demyelinating diseases.
We’re fortunate to be working in a time of remarkable progress—advances in diagnostics, treatment options, and disease understanding are creating real impact for patients across our region. At the same time, we face ongoing challenges, including regional disparities in access to new therapies, alongside regulatory hurdles and unresolved scientific questions.
Moving forward, I believe we have a shared responsibility—and opportunity—to continue pushing boundaries, supporting one another, and keeping patients at the center of everything we do. Let’s move ahead together with purpose, openness, and the same familial spirit that has always been the hallmark of PACTRIMS.
As I step into this role, I do so with humility and a strong commitment to serve this community. I look forward to working closely with all of you across the Asia-Pacific and beyond. Thank you for your trust, your commitment, and your continued belief in the power of collaboration.
